History of our Dealership
Construction, or more directly, destruction for Heritage Harley-Davidson began in August,
1995. Somehow, in the space of three months we managed to get the interior of our dealership down
to a shell and build it back up to what may be seen today. We had our invitational opening on October
28, 1995. We sold thirteen motorcycles on our official opening day, October 29. We opened our
dealership with five staff and managed to get by with that number until Spring. We opened with the
philosophy of "doing our utmost to assist customers to enjoy their motorcycling experience."
By the Spring of that year Harley-Davidson had bought 49% of the Buell Motorcycle Company and we
made another business plan to become a Buell dealer. The challenge of launching a new motorcycle
brand was exciting and educational because it allowed us to sharpen our sales
abilities. We were accepted and became Heritage Harley-Davidson/Buell.
As a company we set ourselves a goal of earning the Trev Deeley Award for Dealer of the Year within
five years. With hard work and dedicated staff we managed to exceed that goal and achieved the award
in three years! We were awarded the Trev Deeley award in 1997, 1998 and then again in 2001. Thats three times in five years!
We continued this pursuit of excellence relentlessly. We guide our staff through educational opportunities
and immersion in our team culture to get us all working toward that ultimate goal of
exceeding customer yearly updates. We send front end team members to yearly sales, marketing, and display
seminars in Vancouver, also, we send groups to Harley-Davidson University for sales and management training. The difference is clear, come on in and let us help you create your own...
